If arriving by train a taxi to the port takes around 15 minutes and costs around £10. There are also regular buses from Paragon Interchange to the Port with a single ticket costing just £2.

There is a convenient metro station located right outside the port building and I’ve used this on many occasions. The line takes you right to the city centre and the journey time is 20 minutes.
You can also take the line 115 bus which takes around 50 minutes and costs €4.
Getting to Amsterdam
You can book a coach transfer directly with P & O and the journey time from Rotterdam to Amsterdam is 90 minutes. You can also take the metro from outside the terminal building to Rotterdam and change trains for Amsterdam (under two hours).

Rotterdam is a large city in South Holland with plenty to see and do. The city centre is packed with interesting Dutch architecture and lots of wonderful streetside cafes. There is a small canal running through the centre and lots of parks and green spaces.
