If you’re from the Southeast, then you have likely heard of Publix. It is the preferred grocery store for many people that also includes a pharmacy and deli.

Most Publix stores, including the deli, are open every day from 7 am- 10 pm. Publix stores are closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. In addition, Publix stores close early on New Year’s Day, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve at 7 pm. Publix restocks shelves daily and offers discounts and BOGO in its weekly ad.

Keep reading to find out all the information you need to know before your next shopping trip at Publix!

What Are Publix Store Hours?

Most Publix stores are open from 7 am to 10 pm every day of the week, almost every day of the year. However, some locations may close earlier, often at 9 pm. Publix customer service is available Monday through Saturday, and their hours are 9 am to 6 pm on Monday-Friday, and 9 am to noon on Saturday.

Publix stores are very accessible, as they are open throughout most of the day on nearly every day of the year.

The standard Publix store hours are 7 am to 10 pm. Individual locations can adjust these hours for many reasons, however. For example, some stores close just an hour earlier, at 9 pm.

The easiest way to check the store hours for your favorite location is to use the Publix store locator.

Enter your zip code or city and state, and the store locator will show information for all Publix stores near that area.

Publix customer service hours are different from regular store hours. On weekdays, you can contact a Publix customer service representative from 9 am to 6 pm EDT.

Publix customer service hours are shorter (9 am to noon) on Saturdays, and customer service is closed on Sundays.

If you live outside the Eastern time zone, remember that all Publix customer service hours are in Eastern time.

You can contact Publix customer service with any questions. Many people contact customer service for help with returns and refunds.

The Publix refund policy states that you can get a full refund for any item if you bring it to the store with a receipt. Without a receipt, you will get a refund in the form of a Publix gift card.

What Are Publix Holiday Hours?

Publix stores are closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Publix stores also close early on New Year’s Day, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve. In addition, certain locations may close early on other holidays. You can check with your local Publix to determine their exact hours on a specific holiday.

You cannot shop at Publix on Easter, Thanksgiving, or Christmas, as all locations are closed for these holidays.

If you are planning a party or gathering for one of these days, make sure you get all your grocery shopping done at least the day before.

Publix stores close early on New Year’s Day, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve. Most stores close at 7 pm instead of 10 pm when they close early.

In some areas, Publix managers may decide to close their stores early on additional holidays.

While most stores stay open on the other holidays shown in the table below, individual stores can change their hours or close.

You can contact your local Publix to determine whether the store will be open on a specific holiday.

What Are Publix Pharmacy Hours?

The Publix Pharmacy is open from 9 am to 9 pm on weekdays. On Saturdays, the pharmacy is open from 9 am to 7 pm. On Sundays, the pharmacy is only open from 11 am to 6 pm. You can refill a prescription at any time online, but you will need to pick up the prescription within the listed Publix pharmacy hours.

The Publix pharmacy opens a couple of hours after the main store opens. On Monday through Friday, the pharmacy stays open for 12 hours.

The Publix pharmacy hours are somewhat reduced over the weekend, so make sure you know the hours for the specific day on which you pick up a prescription.

The Publix pharmacy is closed on the same holidays as the regular Publix store. This includes Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Additionally, Publix Pharmacy closes for New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day.

You can refill prescriptions online at Publix. This service allows you to refill a prescription at any time of day, regardless of whether the actual pharmacy is open at that time.

Then, you can go to your local Publix within regular pharmacy hours to pick up your prescription once it is ready.

To refill prescriptions online, you will need to create an online account with Publix pharmacy. Then, you can request refills from the website or the Publix Pharmacy app.

What Are Publix Deli Hours?

The Publix deli is open from 7 am-10 pm every day, just like the regular Publix store hours. You can pick up a Publix deli order as late as 9:45 pm. Some locations may reduce their deli hours, so check with your local Publix for the exact hours. The Publix deli is closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

The Publix deli generally opens and closes at the same time as the regular store. Since the deli usually opens at 7 am, you can pick up a sandwich for lunch on your way to work.

If you are scheduling an order to pick up, you can choose a pickup time as early as 7:15 am.

Most Publix delis will not accept orders in the store past 9:30 pm, as the employees need time to clean up before closing. However, you have the option to schedule an order for pickup as late as 9:45 pm.

The Publix deli holiday hours follow the same pattern as the regular store holiday hours. Thus, the Publix deli is closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

On other holidays, individual locations may choose to adjust their hours. You can check with your local Publix deli if you are unsure what their hours are on a given day.

Here is a table depicting the Publix deli hours for a typical week:

Does Publix Have Senior Hours?

Publix does not have senior hours anymore. At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Publix locations offered senior hours of 7 am- 8 am, during which only seniors could shop to help prevent the spread of the virus. However, most stores no longer offer these senior hours, given that many individuals are vaccinated.

Many grocery stores implemented senior hours during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

These hours were intended to reduce the number of people shopping at one time to protect those who may be more susceptible to the virus.

However, many stores are getting rid of their senior hours now that a significant number of people are vaccinated.

Additionally, much of the population is more aware of other preventative methods to help stop the spread of the virus.

If you are concerned about shopping during a busy time, you can use Google Maps to help identify when your local store is the least busy.

You can read more about how to do this in the following section.

Thanks for shopping with us, Michael. We continue to make deliveries to our stores daily and our teams are working tirelessly to restock our shelves as quickly as possible. ■Matthew

When Does Publix Restock?

Publix follows a universal restocking schedule, so they restock their shelves every day. Fresh products are delivered daily, and employees refill shelves as they become empty throughout the day. So if something is out of stock, it should be back within a few days. You can even request items you don’t see on shelves.

The best time to shop at Publix is 7 am to 10 am. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings are particularly quiet at Publix stores.

Weekends are usually the busiest days at Publix, but you can still avoid the crowd if you start shopping right after the store opens.

To determine the best time to shop at your local Publix, you can search for your closest location on Google Maps.

Then, click on that store’s listing to view the “Popular Times” graph, and the graph will show how popular the store is for each hour it is open.

Our helpful article explains how to do this in greater detail and other tips for determining when to shop for groceries.

Another benefit of shopping early is having the best selection of products.

Although Publix employees restock shelves throughout the day, it is more likely that the shelves will be full at the beginning of the day.

Does Publix Have Weekly Ad?

Publix has a weekly ad that displays items on sale, including seasonal offers and featured products and recipes. The Publix weekly ad is released on Wednesday or Thursday morning. You can view the Publix weekly ad on the Publix website or have it emailed to you if you have a Club Publix account.

The Publix weekly ad is a great way to stay in the know about all upcoming deals at Publix.

In the Publix weekly ad, you will find great discounts, including many BOGO deals, special holiday deals, new product features, and even delicious recipes.

Anyone can access the Publix weekly ad from the Publix website. You can also have the ad emailed directly to you but will need a Club Publix account for this.

It is easy to sign up for a Club Publix account. Once you are set up, you can adjust the settings in your Account Profile to opt-in to emails (under “My Communication Preferences”).

Having a Club Publix account also lets you select your favorite store. This will ensure that the ads reflect what is available at your preferred location.

The Publix website has made their weekly ad very accessible. Not only can you view the ad in multiple formats online, but you can also listen to the information using screen reader software.

If you normally use this software, you will be prompted to use it when viewing the Publix weekly ad online.

Another perk of viewing the Publix weekly ad online is you can use it to create a shopping list for your next grocery trip.

First, make sure you are signed in to your Club Publix account to save your shopping list.

Then, browse the categories and search for keywords in the weekly ad to find items you need. Finally, click “Add to List” to add that item to your shopping list.

You will have to view your list on a separate screen if you want to add more than one of the same items.

However, it is easy to adjust the quantity of an item; simply click the plus or minus buttons to do so.

Creating a shopping list online is a great time saver. Once you finish the list, you can print it.

The printed list shows you the item name, quantity, location, and notes for each selected product.

The location tells you the aisle where you can find the product, saving you the hassle of wandering trying to find that one hidden item.

And the notes section includes details about any discounts from the Publix weekly ad.

Taking just a few minutes to browse the weekly ad and add items to your shopping list can ultimately save you loads of time.

So sign up for a Club Publix account and try it out for your next grocery trip!

You can also link a debit or credit card to your account and pay via the Publix app. With a mobile phone, you can use other payment methods, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. If you have an Apple device, such as an iPhone or an Apple Watch, you can use Apple Pay to buy your groceries at Publix. If you have an Android device, you can also use Google Pay at Publix.

Even if you do not have these mobile payment methods set up, you may still have a credit or debit card that allows for contactless payments.

To do this, you can tap your credit or debit card on the top of the card reader. Note that Publix only accepts American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards.

However, you will likely need a second form of payment on hand if you purchase items not covered by the SNAP or WIC programs.

Publix gift cards are sold in stores, and these can also be used to pay for your groceries. You can buy a Publix gift card in a store near the checkout lanes, online, or by phone.

The gift cards can have any amount between $5 and $500 loaded onto them. Publix gift cards are not sold in other stores.

Conclusion

Publix is a popular one-stop shop in the Southeastern United States. You can get your grocery shopping done, pick up a prescription from the pharmacy, and order a sandwich for lunch, all in the same store.
