Love this. Physicians are not looking for a title or a huge pay check, most of us. The corporatization of health care is bureaucratic, makes bad decisions, delegates us to the role of minion - but that's what corporations do - that's not the soul-sucking phenomenon. What is unique about corporate health care vs corporations generally is that top down corporate medicine makes doing the work of caring for patients (the thing we identified as a calling in or 20s, worked for years to achieve, continue to obsess about; the thing we are theoretically being paid for) a constant struggle and too often a thing impossible to accomplish specifically because of the leadership structure and processes, or lack thereof. Apply Mr Philogene's model. Take the gift of the experience of being a doc, learn and store it away, make yourself wise. Find a place to make your money work for you. Achieve financial freedom. Maybe in this, free to work a W2 or not, we can find a way to give health care back to the providers.

A lot of us are tired with day to day workplace challenges. But, as you grow in your role, each day will bring new obstacles and opportunities along the way. Sometimes it is just a journey of self-discovery and knowing your potential. In those moments, rather than fearing what's next, we have to learn to embrace the current scenario and focus on becoming the best version of ourselves, only to deliver to our truest capacities ! As you tackle each task and project, remind yourself that it's not about being the best in the room; it's about being the best version of yourself. And, always remember if you are the best in the room, then probably you are in the wrong place.Focus on learning, on growing, on honing your skills, and on embracing the journey. Be kind to yourself and remember that it's okay to stumble, because that's how you learn and grow!#workplace #workplacechallenges #womaninbusiness
