Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible to apply?

If you have logged into Interplay Academy and cannot see content to enroll in, please reach out to support@interplaylearning.com.

Is it possible for me to enroll in more than one certificate program?

Yes, however each user can only take one pathway at a time. Reach out to support@interplaylearning.com to be added to your next pathway once you have completed your current one.

Can I take the training at home?

Yes! Access the training here (and save this link for later). You are encouraged to train at home at your own pace. You may access your training at work during approved break times if you have access to a laptop or tablet from your break room, however, training in a quiet environment away from distractions is the fastest way to retain the knowledge you learn.

Are the courses offered in any other language other than English?

At this time, most of our courses are offered in both English and Spanish. For help on updating your language preferences, click here for instructions in Spanish, or here for English. Future languages are being considered, to submit your request, please contact lowes@interplaylearning.com.

After completing my training, do I go to work for the contractor who does installs?

The program is designed to help you start working in the trades, giving you the knowledge and skills to become more marketable to employers. Track to the Trades is like a pre-apprentice program. We work with your market leadership to connect you with a potential installer/provider.

How does the program work and does Lowe’s cover the cost?

The Track to the Trades program is a self-paced, online course, including pre-recorded videos and simulations. You are welcome to complete all of the tracks, but they must be completed one at a time. Lowe’s covers the cost, so the program is free.

The curriculum gives you a baseline understanding of the trades. At the end, you will not be a professional, but you will have the terminology and know-how to get started in an entry-level role in the trades.

When I complete a Track, how do I enroll in a new one?

Send an email to support@interplaylearning.com, including your sales ID and store email, along with which Track you want to work on next, and they will get you enrolled!

What are industry certifications like OSHA 10, EPA 608, and NATE Ready-To-Work, and do I need to earn them?

These are optional certifications that can help boost your resume and are offered at no additional cost. OSHA 10 is recommended for all learners and applies to safety guidelines in every industry, while EPA 608 and NATE are specific to HVAC equipment and recommended for individuals who will be working in that field.
